Late at night

It’s difficult, if not impossible, to see beyond the narrow scope of your headlights.

Unsure of what’s coming up around the bend, what if something unexpected comes up in your path?

You hope it’s nothing, and that your journey will be a smooth one, but beyond the glow of the headlights, you just never really know.

Around the Bend

This is where I am at right now. Unsure of the future, only being able to see what is right in front of me.  A little scary, a little exciting, a little unsettling.

Yet I have traveled down the road many times before. Looking back on those journeys of the past, I have wisdom from the perspective of seeing how my journey ended. It has always been for the better. There may have been obstacles in my path, yet in hindsight I see them as opportunities to make me stronger, wiser, and more full of love for those most important in my life.

For now, there’s the comfort of the limited light in front of me, and the hope that the dawn is breaking soon.
